Q: I have mixed feelings about my retirement. I love my work and I still learn a lot from my collegues. On the other hand, I’m excited to get a new life started with unlimited time for sailing.
A(I): It’s natural to have mixed feelings about retirement. On one hand, you enjoy your work and the connections you have made with your colleagues. On the other hand, retirement also brings new opportunities and experiences, such as more time for sailing. It’s important to focus on the positive aspects and make the most of this new chapter in your life.
Q: What is the best way to let my collegues know I really appreciate them?
A(I): There are many ways to show appreciation to your colleagues. Some ways include:
- Saying thank you in person or in writing, such as sending a thank you email or card.
2. Giving a small gift, such as a plant, flowers, or a thoughtful trinket.
3. Publicly acknowledging their contributions and accomplishments during team meetings or company events.
4. Nominating them for an award or recognition program.
5. Taking the time to listen to them and offer help or support when needed.
6. Hosting a farewell lunch or party to celebrate your time together and the relationships you’ve formed.
Remember, it’s the thought that counts, and expressing your gratitude in a sincere and authentic way is what truly matters.
